The Korean Conflict

  1. I want to write about the Korean Conflict. Korea is separated 2 countries until now, because of Korean Conflict. One of them called North Korea and one of them called South Korea.
  2. Korea was a Japanese colony at 1910 to 1945. At that time, most Korean think, we want to become independence from Japan. They think, we have to learn advanced knowledge for our independence.
  3. At that time, there are 2 strongest countries America and Soviet. Some Korean went to America and some Korean went to Soviet for learning knowledge. People who went to America learned democracy and capitalism. People who went to Soviet learned communism and socialism.
  4. All of Korean fight to Japan and at that time Korea was helped America and Soviet. Then 1945, finally Korea became independence.
  5. However, there were some problems. At that time, Korea had 2 ideologies and one of them argued democracy is better than communism and one of them argued communism is better than democracy. Most communism advocates lived in north and most democracy advocates lived in south.
  6. At that time called the Cold War. America and Soviet fought and they want to get more influence about Korea. Soviet helped communism advocates and America helped democracy advocates.
  7. Korea can’t unified until 1950 and June 25, 1950 Korean Conflict was outbreak, because North Korea invade South Korea. Korean Conflict continued for 3 years.
  8. Soviet helped North Korea in this conflict, so in the early war, South Korea loss most battles. However, U.N think, North Korea and Soviet are wrong and they dispatched many soldiers for helping South Korea. At that time, many countries dispatched their soldiers and America dispatched most soldiers.
  9. This conflict was not finish until 1953. South-North Korea were damaged much economy and life and many countries that dispatched their soldier are damaged through this conflict. Finally South-North Korea were stop fighting and made a truce.
  10. The war is not finish until now and these days South Korea and North Korea become another country. Especially, North Korea advocate isolationism, so North Korean can’t travel another country and another country people can’t travel North Korea.
  11. This is a great tragedy. Especially, this conflict cause many dispersed families. Among this war, many North Korean escaped south and many South Korean moved north. They can’t go to their hometown until now. My grandfather’s hometown is in North Korea and he can’t go his hometown for more than 50 years. He want to travel his hometown; however it is impossible now.
  12. Most South Korean want to unify and I want to unify too.

    I am so sorry about your country it is a serious problem. But you can do the uiify if you wish no one can stand against people's power and wishes.
    You can do that like german did.

    I could not understand all things before but now it is clear
    However, I'm very sorry about this war , I'm sure that all of the Korean people want to be as one country in order to visit their hometown .

    In my opinion, it is a lamentable fact that between South Korea and North Korea.
    Especially the situation is more nervous in these days.
    I have never been to experience the war since I was born. So I couldn’t describe clearly the tragedy about the war.
    However, it depressed me that people can’t go their hometown although who are same race.
    I really hope to unify each country with a peaceful settlement.

    Wow~ Although it looks like a history class, I enjoyed the topic very much!
    Korea is quite close to China, but a lot of time we are busy in learning Chinese history, you know, China has more than 5000 years history, I didn't know about Korea.
    On the other hand, through your discribe I know about Korea and I think it's a interesting to learn more about your contry's history!
    I hope your contry can solve all the problems as soon as possible^^

    I never think about it .. I thought that south korea and North Korea one country .. but I was totally wrong .. also we talked about this thing in Rulien's class .. I was talking with Kim about this ..

    Everyone knows that wars are bad but none stops to do that. In fact, many countries experienced wars. We have to face these problems. We also can learn something form wars. I really hope there is only one Korea in the world.

    South Korea and Japan are close neighbors countries each other. So, we are much interested in what is going happened in your country over anything else. I think it's the best way that your separated homeland will unify through the method your country hoped except fighting.

    This is the problem that we are facing, Arabic countries. They were divided to 22 countries and the relatives were divided too. So with people like you, you can return to united country.

    Korea history was very miserable. Also another country had a diverse sorry cases, but some country overcome a bad situation, and they changed stronger. South Korea also, too. Let's think about 2002's world cup. It was very fantastic. We weather a crisis.

    It's good topic. We learn about this story at the sencondary school in detail. The Korean war is left a lot of demages which are ruin ground and moral decay. My parents also suffer from this war and whenever they talk about that, they feel upset. After this war, we seperate North Korea and South Korea. We are stil cold.

    All of KoreanS FOUGHT AGAINST Japan and, at that time, Korea was helped BY America and Soviet. Then IN 1945, finally Korea became INDEPENDENT.
    However, there were some problems. At that time, Korea had 2 ideologies and one of them argued democracy WAS better than communism and THE OTHER ONE * argued communism WAS better than democracy. Most communism advocates lived in north and most democracy advocates lived in south.
    At that time, THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN THESE TWO LARGE COUNTRIES WAS called the Cold War. America and Soviet fought and they wantED to get more influence ON Korea. Soviet helped communism advocates and America helped democracy advocates.
    Korea COULD NOT BE unified until 1950 and ON June 25, 1950, Korean Conflict BROKE OUT, because North Korea invadeD South Korea. Korean Conflict continued for 3 years.
    Soviet helped North Korea in this conflict, so in the early war, South Korea LOST most battles. However, U.N THOUGHT THAT North Korea and Soviet WERE wrong and they dispatched many soldiers for helping South Korea. At that time, many countries dispatched their soldiers and America dispatched THE most soldiers.

    AS OF NOW, THERE IS A RUMOR THAT KIM (NOT OUT KIM) HAS A CANCER, AND WON'T BE ABLE TO LIVE SO LONG. AFTER HIS DEATH, WE MIGHT SEE SOME TURBULENCE, WHICH HOPEFULLY FACILITATES UNIFICATION. BY THE WAY, I AM A LITTLE SURPRISED THAT PEOPLE DO NOT LEARN THE HISTORY OF KOREA IN CHINA ALTHOUGH THEY ARE ADJACENT TO EACH OTHER.
